Ohio-based crusher maker adds Hoffman Equipment as dealer in parts of New York and Pennsylvania.

Valley View, Ohio-based IRock Crushers says it has added New York and Pennsylvania locations of Piscataway, New Jersey-based Hoffman Equipment as part of its dealer network.

IRock says, “After learning about the rich history of this family-owned company, the leadership at IRock knew Hoffman Equipment would quickly become a trusted partner for eastern Pennsylvania and the Hudson Valley of New York.”

In addition to its Piscataway headquarters location, Hoffman Equipment has facilities in Marlboro, New York, and in Lionville, Pennsylvania, that will offer the IRock line. Hoffman also has dealerships in the Bronx and Medford, New York, and Deptford, New Jersey.

“IRock Crushers is thrilled to partner with Hoffman Equipment,” says Nate Russell, director of sales and business development. “The last two years IRock has implemented a formula to grow and expand the brand with the most exceptional dealers in North America. Hoffman Equipment is an elite dealer in the industries we serve and was the perfect addition to the IRock network. There’s a spirit of excellence shared among [its] whole team, which effectively conveys our same mindset at IRock. We are laser focused on manufacturing premier equipment, so it’s critical that our partners carry our vision to deliver excellent service and support to each and every customer.”

Other brands of equipment carried by Hoffman include Astec, Case, Doosan Portable Power, JCB, NPK, Shearcore and Volvo.

Tim Watters, owner of Hoffman Equipment, says, “We are very excited to represent Irock Crushers and their aggregate equipment in our marketplace. The IRock product is well regarded for its superior quality and for the wide variety of options and special features that distinguish IRock products from other crushing manufacturers. The company is unlike any other equipment manufacturer because [it was] founded by an equipment distributor – as such they know their market and know what it takes to create customer satisfaction.”

IRock provides mobile and portable crushing plants, screening plants, conveying equipment and other related products for the demolition, recycling and aggregate industries.

Las Vegas equipment exhibition will be held March 14-18, 2023.

The organizer of ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 has gone live with an online registration process for the sizable triennial equipment exhibition.

The 2023 version of the Las Vegas event, organized by the Milwaukee-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), has been scheduled for March 14-18.

AEM says the weeklong event will bring together the construction sector and other users of heavy equipment and will feature “new equipment and technology to prepare you for the future ahead.”

Attendees of the 2020 event have been e-mailed by the AEM with an offer of 50 percent off the cost of 2023 show admission for “supporting us in 2020 during the challenging pandemic,” AEM says.

AEM adds, “Registering for the show early allows access to our best hotel rates and availability.” More information about registration and pricing for the event can be found here.

The sale features multiple tractors and trucks, including a 2018 Kenworth T880 10 x 4 dump truck and a 2013 Mack Tractor with a 2018 Dragon tanker trailer.

Tiger Group, Boston, is offering for immediate sale an entire fleet of late model rolling stock previously operated by Buckeye Water Services from its locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania. All assets are available for individual purchase in the company-closing liquidation, which includes construction equipment and more than 100 twenty- and thirty-yard roll-off boxes.

A wide range of assets from Buckeye Water Services, a fracking services and waste hauling company, are available for immediate sale from Tiger Group. The sale features multiple tractors and trucks, including a 2018 Kenworth T880 10x4 dump truck and a 2013 Mack tractor with a 2018 Dragon tanker trailer

"This sale represents a particularly strong opportunity for any company that provides water services to the hydraulic-fracturing sector or hauls construction waste, in part because the rolling stock on offer is so new and well-maintained," says Chad Farrell, managing director for Tiger Commercial & Industrial. "But other companies could benefit by acquiring former Buckeye assets of more general utility, like pickup, winch and service trucks, SUVs, a Caterpillar skid steer and a lowboy trailer by Entyre."

With two locations, one near Columbus, the other near Pittsburgh, Buckeye Water Services provided specialized services to the oil-and-gas industry for more than 50 years. The company also had substantial waste-hauling operations, according to John Coelho, senior director of Tiger Commercial & Industrial.

Available trucks and trailers include:

2018 Mack GR64F vacuum tank trucks, ranging from 2019 to 2021;

2020 Mack T/A PI64T tractor trucks;

Mack T/A tractor trucks;

four 12x4 Mack water trucks (2019 and 2020);

one 8x4 Mack water truck (2020);

two Mack 10x4 water trucks, both from 2019;

Citing the company’s 2030 sustainability goals, the business magazine has chosen the New England hauler and recycler as its first Sustainability Award winner in the waste management category.

Casella Waste Systems Inc., Rutland, Vermont, a regional solid waste, recycling, and resource management services company, recently was named the most sustainable company in the waste management category by World Finance magazine.

World Finance, a print and online magazine providing comprehensive coverage and analysis of the financial industry, international business and the global economy, annually honors companies across a dozen categories ranging from insurance and banking to corporate governance. In 2019, as the issue of climate change rose to the top of the global agenda and businesses across the globe began to take real action to tackle climate change, World Finance introduced its inaugural Sustainability Awards to honor companies that show a commitment to environmentalism and sustainability and are making the business world a much greener place.

“It’s an honor to have our sustainability efforts recognized as the global leader among our peers,” Casella Chair and CEO John W. Casella says. “This award is validation of the hard work of more than 3,000 employees who come to work at Casella every day and make a difference. Whether it was 45 years ago when we established the first recycling facility in Vermont or the present day as we turn landfill gas into renewable natural gas in New Hampshire, our people have made a commitment to putting material to a higher and better use, and that’s what makes all the difference.”

Casella is the first vertically integrated solid waste, recycling and resource management services company to earn the award in the Waste Management Category and joins 29 other companies such as Canadian Pacific Railway, JetBlue and McCain Foods, which were honored across various categories.

According to World Finance, its judges were impressed by Casella’s ambitious 2030 Sustainability Goals that align with the Paris Agreement, Global Reporting Initiative, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, Carbon Disclosure Project and environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting.
